Terms of Service

§ 1. General Provisions

  1. These Regulations define the general terms, conditions, and manner of provision of services by Mindful Consumption Academy Inc. via the online platform. By accessing or using the platform, the User confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.
  2. The platform is intended for educational purposes in the field of personal finance. The content provided does not constitute financial advice and is for informational purposes only. Users should consult a qualified professional for personalized financial advice.
  3. The service provider reserves the right to modify these Regulations at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
  4. All matters not covered by these Regulations shall be governed by the applicable laws of the province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of New Brunswick.

§ 2. Definitions

  • Platform – The online educational service available at the domain mindfulconsumption.ca, operated by the service provider.
  • User – Any natural person or legal entity that creates an Account and uses the Services provided by the Platform.
  • Account – A personalized section of the Platform assigned to a User, through which they can access the Services.
  • Services – All educational materials, tools, community features, and support provided by the Platform to the User, as per their subscription plan.
  • Regulations – This document, specifying the terms and conditions of using the Platform.

§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided

  1. The Platform provides paid and free digital content, including video courses, articles, and interactive tools related to personal finance and budgeting. The scope of accessible Services depends on the User's selected subscription plan, as detailed on the Pricing page.
  2. The service provider is committed to providing high-quality educational content but does not guarantee any specific financial outcomes or results from the use of the Services. User success depends on their individual effort and application.
  3. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the content associated with their subscription for personal, non-commercial use only. Redistribution or resale of any content is strictly prohibited.
  4. The service provider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, including the availability of any feature, database, or content, with or without notice to the User.

§ 4. Technical Requirements

  1. To use the Platform, the User must have a device with access to the Internet and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled.
  2. The service provider is not responsible for any malfunctions or incompatibilities of the Platform with the User's end device or software.
  3. The User is solely responsible for ensuring the security of their device and for any costs associated with internet access.

§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User

  1. The User is obligated to provide true and accurate information during the registration process and to keep this information updated. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password.
  2. The User agrees not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the service. This includes uploading malicious software or infringing on intellectual property rights.
  3. The User may not share their account credentials with any third party. The account is for personal use only, and the User is fully responsible for all activities that occur under their account. The service provider is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the User's failure to comply with this obligation.
  4. The User retains ownership of any content they submit to community forums but grants the service provider a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the Services.
  5. The User has the right to terminate their account at any time. Termination can be performed through the account settings or by contacting customer support. All provisions of these Regulations which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

§ 6. Final Provisions

  1. These Regulations constitute the entire agreement between the User and the service provider regarding the use of the Platform, superseding any prior agreements. The governing law for this agreement is that of New Brunswick, Canada.
  2. If any provision of these Regulations is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary.
